Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information I collect through What Would Ike Say?, why I collect it, how I look after it and what your rights are. I’m Ike Aigbogun, and I run What Would Ike Say? as a self-employed business in the UK. I’m responsible for your information.
My promise to you
Everything you share with me through the Problem-Solving Canvas, my contact form or an application for The Fix is confidential. Only I see it. It’s never sold, never shared with other organisations for their own use, and never used in any of my content, resources or training.

What I collect and why
The Problem-Solving Canvas
While you fill in the canvas, your answers are saved only on your own device, so you can come back later. I don’t receive them at this stage. When you download your report, I receive:
- your name, email address, organisation and role
- your canvas answers, which describe a situation at work
- your answers about your situation, such as how confident you feel, how soon you need the problem sorted, whether you can decide to bring in help, your organisation’s size and what support would help
- whether you’d like to hear about The Fix, a talk or workshop, or my emails
I use this to create your report, follow up with you where you’ve shown interest in working with me, and understand what people are working on.
To help me decide who to follow up with first, a simple scoring system gives each submission a priority based on your answers, such as how soon you need help and what kind of support you’re looking for. It’s for my own planning only. It doesn’t affect your report, and it doesn’t make any decision with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
My contact form
Your name, email address, organisation, what you’d like help with and your message. I use this to reply to you.
Applications for The Fix
Your name, email address, phone number, role, organisation, industry and organisation size, your description of the problem you’d bring, and your answers about authority, funding and availability. I use this to assess your application and arrange a call if it looks like a good fit.
Booking a call
If you book a call with me, my booking system records your name, email address and the appointment details.
Clients and members of The Fix
If you work with me or join The Fix, I keep the information I need to deliver the work and get paid: your name, organisation, billing details, agreements, invoices and payment records. I don’t collect or store card details.
My emails
If you tick the box to receive my emails, I keep your name and email address and a record that you agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Testimonials
If you give me a testimonial, I may publish your name, role, organisation and comments on my website or social media, only with your permission.
My website
My website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages securely. Fonts on the site load from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google. I don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
My lawful bases
UK data protection law requires me to have a lawful basis for using your information. Mine are:
- Legitimate interests for the canvas, my contact form, applications for The Fix and call bookings. I can’t create your report, reply to you or assess your application without your information. It benefits you because you get a response that fits your situation, and it helps me run my business sensibly. I keep the impact on you low by collecting only what I need, telling you before you submit anything that it comes to me, and keeping it confidential.
- Contract for clients and members of The Fix, so I can enter into and carry out our agreement.
- Legal obligation for keeping financial records, as HMRC requires.
- Consent for my emails, updates about The Fix where you’ve asked for them, and publishing testimonials. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
- ask me to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
- ask me to delete your information
- ask me to limit how I use your information
- object to me using your information where I rely on legitimate interests
- ask me to transfer information you gave me to you or another organisation
- withdraw your consent at any time, where I rely on consent
Some rights depend on the lawful basis and have exemptions. To make a request, email me. I’ll respond without undue delay, and within one month. You can read more about your rights on the ICO’s website.
Where I get your information
Directly from you.
How long I keep your information
| Information | How long I keep it |
|---|---|
| Canvas submissions | 12 months after you submit, unless you become a client |
| Contact form messages | 12 months after our last contact |
| Applications for The Fix that aren’t accepted | 12 months, so I can invite you to a later cohort |
| Call bookings | As for canvas submissions or clients, depending on whether we go on to work together |
| Client and member contracts, invoices and payment records | At least 5 years after the 31 January tax return deadline for that year, as HMRC requires |
| Email subscribers | Until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only your email address on a “do not email” list, so you aren’t added again by mistake |
| Testimonials | Until you ask me to remove them |
| Canvas answers saved while you fill it in | On your own device only, until you clear them using “Clear my answers” |
Who I share your information with
I don’t share your information with other organisations for their own use. It’s stored and handled by these service providers, which act only on my instructions:
| Provider | What they do for me |
|---|---|
| Stores canvas submissions, contact form messages and applications in a Google Sheet only I can access, and provides the fonts on my website | |
| MailerLite | Stores the details of people who’ve asked for my emails, and sends those emails |
| Moxie | Manages call bookings |
| Cloudflare | Hosts my website and online tools |
I may also share information with my accountant or other professional advisers, with organisations I’m legally required to share it with, such as HMRC, and publicly, in the case of testimonials you’ve agreed to.
Information sent outside the UK
Some of my service providers store or handle information outside the UK. When they do, it’s protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law:
- Google and Cloudflare (United States): the UK–US data bridge
- MailerLite (European Union): UK adequacy regulations for the EU
- Moxie (United States): the UK–US data bridge or UK-approved standard contractual clauses
Email me if you’d like more information about these safeguards.
